Samsung LCD HDTV – LN52B750 52-Inch (Charcoal Grey Touch of Color)
Specifications: The LN52B750 is one of the latest models from the Samsung LCD HDTV series. It is a 52-inch wide screen TV screen that works on TFT active matrix technology. It boasts a blazing pixel response time of 2ms. This Samsung LCD HDTV comes with two built in speakers, producing a total of 20 watts of audio power. It comes with 4 HDMI ports (one on the side), 2 component video inputs, 1 VGA input, 1 digital audio output and many more connectors.
Design: The LN52B750 measures at 49.1 x 3.1 x 31.3 inches, and weighs at 56.4lbs without the stand. This unit rests on a rectangular swivel stand. Compared to many other Samsung LCD HDTV models, this unit sports a much more subdued design. The panels mostly have a glossy black surface with hints of translucent blue/gray on the lower panel. Personally, I think this new muted design is very more stylish and tasteful. The TV is connected to the stand by a see-though cylindrical stalk that looks really cool. Overall, I think that the design of this new model is much better than the older models.
Features & Performance: This new Samsung LCD HDTV has a 240hz refresh rate. This is twice the rate of its older models (at 120hz). Another new feature found on the LN52B750 is that you can access Yahoo Widgets when the HDTV is connected to the internet. With a wide variety of ports and connectors, the LN52B750 has one of the best connectivity among any HDTVs in the market. The blacks displayed on the screen are pretty dark (one of the darkest among LCD TVs). The colors were very realistic and were near perfect. This model has a shiny screen surface, so it is prone to a little glare under bright lighting conditions.
Overall: Despite its high-end price, this Samsung LCD model proves to be a good buy as it has lots of features and performs really well. The picture quality was impressive and it has can access a wide array of online content when connected to the internet. If you have the extra cash to spare, you should definitely get your hands on the new LN52B750.
